Set off on a thrilling off-road experience through the untamed north of Andros in our 4×4 jeeps, accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide. This half-day guided tour blends adventurous driving, light hiking, historical exploration, and beach relaxation—all in one memorable day.

Our jeep adventure begins from Andros Town, Batsi, or Gavrio, where you meet your off-road driver and guide. After a short introduction and briefing, we begin our drive into the remote northern highlands of the island. Travelling on small country roads and off-road tracks, we navigate through landscapes that are rarely visited and full of natural and cultural surprises.

Our first destination is the millers’ village of Froussei, a once-thriving rural community now known for its abandoned watermills and stone houses. Here, we pause for a 40-minute guided walk through the ravine between Ammolochos and Palaistos, an area of wild beauty where nature and history meet. Learn how these mills served the surrounding villages until the mid-20th century, forming a unique mill village ecosystem.

Back in the jeep, we continue to Zorgos Beach, located at the edge of one of Andros’ protected wetlands. Enjoy free time for swimming, relaxing, and soaking up the wild beauty of the crystal-clear waters and tranquil bay.

The journey continues along fairly even dirt tracks, winding through the mountainous terrain of North Andros. As we descend, we stop at one of the island’s hidden beaches at the foot of steep cliffs—perfect for a refreshing swim in complete seclusion.

Before returning, we offer an optional stop at Kossis Farm, known for its local meat specialties and generous hospitality. Guests can enjoy a hearty, home-cooked meal in a rustic farm setting before heading back.

• Notes: Each jeep carries up to 3 guests plus driver. Jeeps are equipped with water, snacks, a map, and first aid kit. Guests wishing to drive must carry a valid full driving license.

  What to bring: Comfortable clothes, hat, camera, swimwear, beach towel, and walking shoes.

• This tour is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. You have to be able to walk approximately 1/2 hour, at a slow pace, on uneven surfaces and steps
