Enjoy a cooking class

An evening cooking class and a dinner to remember!

We meet at Livadia at Harikleia’s house, where you will be welcomed with fresh juice, tea or coffee, and traditional Greek cookies. Harikleia began her career as a cook at a young age and rose to become one of the most popular and loved cooks on the island. She has done the catering for weddings and parties and she has appeared in tv cooking programs. One activity that everyone remembers and loves her for, was the program teaching young children to cook.

Harikleia Daniolou will introduce you to the Cycladic Islands’ cuisine and particularly of Andros, as well as, to the unique local products of our island. The island yields a bounty of unusual indigenous herbs and vegetables, while it has a remarkable livestock industry and thus dairy products, but also significant primary production such as fisheries, beekeeping, etc. 

Get ready to see how different recipes are made! When the dishes are ready, you will be able to enjoy the fruits of our labors, accompanied by a glass of delicious Andros wine or raki.

* The menu is prepared according to the seasonal products and varies between vegetarian, meat & poultry, or fish and seafood dishes. Andros has its own specialties. Let’s discover them together! This is more than just a cooking experience; we provide you with a one-of-a-kind souvenir to take home and practice in your kitchen, reminding you of our island all year! 

Cooking Class includes 1 main dish, 2 appetizers, 1 salad, 1 dessert, presentation of local products, raki, and wine tasting, and cooking class. Equipment and ingredients for the cooking class and the recipes are provided.

SALAD 
Greek Country Salad: Tomatoes, onions, cucumber, olives, capers, local  cheese, and virgin olive oil 

STARTERS 
Fava beans spread with capers or Traditional fried potato balls with tzatziki spread

MAIN DISH to choose from

  • Andros’ Inspired Coq au Vin (Rooster Boiled in Wine (aka Kokoras Krasatos)
  • Traditional Cod with garlic sauce
  • Greek Stewed Pork and Greens in Lemon Sauce – Fricassee
  • Gemista stuffed vegetables with rice
  • Froutalia (the local omelette recipe with potatoes and local sausages or courgette (veg)
  • Greek Souvlaki (meat, poultry)
