This rewarding point-to-point walking tour connects Agapi village with the vibrant capital of Tinos Town (Chora), offering a varied landscape of traditional villages, geological wonders, medieval ruins, and wide-paved Cycladic trails. A perfect blend of culture, nature, and history—ideal for those who want to truly walk through the island’s story.

We begin in the tranquil village of Agapi, a hidden gem of Cycladic architecture where quiet streets and blooming courtyards set a peaceful tone for the day. From here, the trail leads us to Volax, one of the most distinctive landscapes in the Cyclades. Surrounded by giant granite boulders, this small village feels almost lunar in character. It’s also known for its traditional basket-weaving workshops, which you’ll see lining the narrow lanes, celebrating the area’s deep-rooted artisanal culture.

The route continues uphill to the imposing Xobourgo Castle, once the heart of Venetian rule in Tinos. Perched on a rocky outcrop, its atmospheric ruins and panoramic views over the Aegean and inland Tinos are among the most striking on the island.

We then join an ancient wide-paved trail, a beautifully preserved path that once connected villages and trade centers across the island. Walking along it evokes a timeless connection to the island’s Byzantine and Venetian past, surrounded by terraced hills, herbs, and the occasional chapel.

Our walk concludes in Tinos Town (Chora), the island’s bustling yet picturesque capital. Here you can unwind with local delicacies, visit elegant neoclassical buildings, and explore the narrow streets that lead from lively cafes to serene chapels—all under the spell of Cycladic charm.
