Scenic views to the Aegean Sea

Via Ferrata Climbing & Rappel

Enjoy scenic views next to the biggest waterfall in the Cyclades.

Get your adrenaline high as you climb up the ridge of Palaiopoli, scramble the via-ferrata along the cliff and experience scenic views over the coast.
This amazing day you will explore the Cycladic landscape in a different way. Palaiopolis is located in the west side of Andros, a very well protected area by the mountain range Petalo, with lush vegetation and two impressive, for the Cycladic scenery, waterfalls. The city was the capital of the island during the Classic Period.

The hiking route

Get a transfer from the meeting point to Palaiopoli. Meet you guide and start an easy walk of 700m to reach the crag. The instructor/guide will provide you all the necessary equipment for climbing and give you all type of instructions. Even those with no previous experience can enjoy this exciting activity!

The ridge scrambling is a via-ferrata, where steel handholds and footholds give extra safety and ease. While you are rock climbing on an Aegean Island you will have splendid views to the sea and the neighbored islands.

After some 100 meter , and while you climb next to the Cycladic waterfall, the route will take you to the one of the most beautiful hiking routes of the Andros. Andros Route 9. The old Venetian road, with the admirable dry stone walls.

Enjoy some time at the top, admire the view and the surrounding, refresh at the stream’s basins and have a picnic. For you way back this time you will have an exhilarating rappel next to the waterfall. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, whatever the difficulty grade is, climbers will be rewarded with fabulous views on an Aegean Island.

This is a family friendly activity for children over 12 years old with an adventurous ascent.

At the end of the tour drop off at the meeting points.
