An excellent accommodation for transformational travelers seeking the cultural experience of Andros. The residence is situated in the preserved settlement of Ypsila near the capital of Andros. Tranquil Chateau was built in the early decades of 19th century and was abandoned in the mid 20th. In 2005 was fully restored according to the traditional technique which involves stone, clay and wood as construction materials. The house can accommodate up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms and two baths
Day by Day
Arrival in the morning. Meet and greet at the port and get a transfer to your stay at the traditional village of Ipsilou. You can have a free day or you can choose a guided walk to the historical center of Andros Town. In the evening the hosts will prepare for you a delicious homemade welcome dinner.
After breakfast, your first walking tour will take you to the traditional settlement of Apoikia where the famous source of Sariza Springs. A nice detour to visit Pithara ravine and the small waterfalls and you will continue your walk through a wooded area to reach Evroussies stream, in reality a very important small river of Andros. You will cross two fertile ravines and this time the trail will bring you to the top of Strabourgies village and via a steep downhill to the settlements of Mesathouri and Ispilou. You are back to the house.
You can spend your evening at the garden or take a ride to the town.
You will start your walking tour after the delicious homemade breakfast which will take you to the verdant village of Menites. Crossing beautiful landscapes to Pitrofos village you will arrive at the village where you can have your first stop for a refreshment or light lunch under the shade of the big plane trees. The trail will bring you back to the cottage house crossing picturesque settlements with colorful gardens.Evening free to spend it the way you like or ask for a ride to the beach! In the evening the hosts will prepare for you, you fair well dinner. It is time for you to learn the secrets of the Mediterranean cuisine.
Upon your departure time, you will have a transfer to the port. Yet, you can extend your stay in the house!
