8-Day Walking Holiday

A Gentle Walk Through Kythnos & Serifos

Discover the Magic of Kythnos & Serifos: 9-Day Guided Walking Holiday

A gentle walking holiday combining Kythnos and Serifos, two authentic Cycladic islands shaped by nature, history and island life.
The itinerary blends coastal paths, historic routes, traditional villages and plenty of time for swimming and rest, creating a slow and well-balanced walking experience away from mass tourism.

Kythnos: The Island of Simplicity and Serenity

Kythnos is one of the most understated and authentic islands of the Cyclades, known for its soft landscapes, thermal springs and deeply local atmosphere. Gentle hills, dry-stone walls and quiet footpaths connect small villages, chapels and hidden beaches, creating an ideal setting for relaxed walking.

Inland villages such as Dryopida, with its distinctive tiled roofs and traditional character, and the hilltop Chora of Kythnos, offer insight into everyday island life away from the coast. Along the way, ancient paths lead to archaeological sites, thermal springs in Loutra and beaches like Kolona and Apokrousi, where land and sea meet in simple, striking landscapes.

Serifos: The Island of Raw Landscapes and Endless Beaches

Serifos is a more rugged and dramatic island, shaped by strong light, open horizons and a long mining history. Its landscape is marked by old mining paths, abandoned installations and terraced hillsides that descend towards the sea, creating a powerful contrast between industry and nature.

Beyond its striking hilltop Serifos Chora, the island is known for its abundance of beaches — long, quiet stretches of sand and pebble coves, many accessible on foot. Walking on Serifos often ends by the sea, where swimming and rest are a natural continuation of the journey, making the island an ideal balance of movement, history and coastal calm.
